People get scammed and lose money, or get cheated into things, even have viruses downloaded unknowingly.

People hacked into bank accounts through the web and hence stole money from companies.

Not to download illegal materials, befriend strangers online, open files from unreliable sources and spread viruses online through social networking. (eg facebook and twitter)

1)Hackers can hack into others' computers and get personal information from the person. He/She can then threaten the person for money. People can also get scammed on the internet and can also get cheated or they can also download viruses unknowingly.

ReplyDeleteYes I have. My friend got cheated into thinking that she could get tickets to a 1D concert at a cheaper rate, but ended up losing money. The website seemed very "innocent" and "approved".
By not going to illegal websites or buying things from illegal websites, or even downloading anything online as they could contain viruses.

DeleteHackers would know about someone's own personal information, and their bank accounts/companies will lose money. If the person does not have any protection on the computer, then it would be infected with malware and viruses.

Many people get cheated and in the process they lose a lot of money. They also sometimes download viruses onto their computer without knowing themselves. An example of a virus is the malware virus.

The dangers are malware which gathers sensitive information from victims and phishing sites, which are almost the same as malware but it is a site to trick you into filling in your personal information and such. The result of the dangers would be getting your personal information leaked out.
